While our instructional materials are clear and comprehensive, and our blocks are easy to use, some customers, builders and do-it-yourselfers prefer the security of professional training to get them going, to train additional crews, or to provide direction for more complicated projects. Blue Star offers several training options to meet almost any need. Select from Orientation Center Training, One-Man On-Site Training, or Team On-Site Training to provide all the expertise and direction you need, for as long as you need them.

Buyers and buyer’s representatives may attend an all-day seminar at Blue Star’s Orientation Center located in Crown Point, IN on the second Friday of every month. The cost for this training is $50.00 (Fifty Dollars) per person with lunch included. Participants receive hands-on instruction, print materials and a Certificate of Completion.

The One-Man training option provides a professional trainer who will come to instruct your crew once your block and supplies have arrived at the jobsite and your footing has cured. Crews should have thoroughly reviewed the Blue Star Methods and instructional materials prior to arrival of the trainer. Trainers generally travel on Monday a.m. and Friday p.m. spending the working hours between on the jobsite. The cost is $250.00/day (Two hundred fifty dollars), plus travel, lodging, meals, etc. The estimated total is $2500/week (Twenty-five hundred dollars), payable when the trainer is scheduled. Additional charges or rebates are to be settled within 10 days of the trainer’s arrival home. Blue Star trainers work under your General Contractor’s (GC) license and, as such, under your GC’s Workman’s Compensation Insurance and other related insurance coverage. The GC is responsible for ensuring that Blue Star’s trainer is allowed on the jobsite for training/working and is not restricted by local regulations, permits or unions.

Blue Star’s Team Training option simply duplicates the One-Man Training, adding additional trainers and multiplied costs.
